Associate Professor Matsuo began by saying to the students,What are the school rules?" I asked. For example,Lunchtime rulesWe provided time for the students to discuss in groups what kind of experiences they had, and they actively exchanged opinions while reflecting on their own experiences.
After discussing the various rules that emerged in the group work and the intentions behind them, Associate Professor Matsuo summarized the lesson by explaining the role of the teacher as follows:3We have consolidated our work into three areas:


- Creating knowledge: Help students acquire new knowledge and perspectives through lessons and other activities.
- Creating encounters with people: Create rich relationships and learning opportunities through interactions between students, teachers, and society.
- Creating the future for students and the community: To bring out the potential of each student and cultivate human resources who can contribute to the future of the local community.
This class conveyed to high school students the multifaceted role and social significance of the teaching profession, providing a great stimulus for them to consider their future career paths. Nishinomiya Minami High School and Kansai International University plan to continue to use this type of high school-university collaboration to increase students' motivation to learn and foster career awareness.
