September 23rd (Tuesday, National Holiday) Open Campus (Miki Campus, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences) Implementation Report

At our university's open campus, students will work as staff on the day, and students involved in planning and running the event throughout the year will also be involved.COCThere are students.

1. Morning program

<Opening>

First-year students introduced the attractions of Miki City and an overview of the university to the visitors.
Although they were probably nervous as it was their first experience, they gave confident presentations. Thank you for your hard work.

<Department introduction>

The Dean gave an explanation about the characteristics of the Department of Nursing and an overview of the learning process.

<Entrance Exam Guidance>

An explanation was given about the types of entrance exams, key points, and preparations for taking the exams.

 

<Trial lesson> Psychiatric Nursing "Let's experience mindfulness"

Through work using raisins, the participants experienced mindfulness, focusing their attention on the here and now.
Instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future,The importance of being aware of the presentWe were able to understand this.
We also talked about the benefits of "experiencing the present."
I hope that in the future, you will slow down your pace of action a little and be conscious of "feeling the present."

<Trial lesson> Public Health Nursing "Let's experience a newborn home visit!"

As a public health nurse, I visited homes and had the experience of weighing babies.
In addition to lectures by faculty members,4Students also participated in the demonstration.
Through the experience of supporting and holding a newborn baby who cannot yet hold his/her head up,The role of public health nurses and the reality of maternal and child supportThey learned the following.

2. Afternoon program

<Experience Project> "Let's try it for ourselves! ~Experience being an elderly person~"

We played a game where we moved azuki beans using gloves.Sensory and motor difficulties in the elderlyThe students planned and ran the event, which allowed participants to experience the following:

<Student Project> "Protect your skin from summer skin problems!"

The content was in the form of a quiz, and was a fun way to learn about the effects of ultraviolet rays and how to protect against them.
We also demonstrated how to apply sunscreen correctly.

 

<Student Voices>

1 ~3In an interview format, first-year students shared their real thoughts about student life.
Questions from the visitors were also answered on the spot, and lively exchanges took place.

<How to write a reason for applying>

Not only how to write a letter of intent for our university,The basics of writing a letter of intentIt was a course where I could learn.
After the explanation, individual instruction was provided by faculty members of our university.
