On Friday, December 5th, the 2025 disaster prevention and evacuation drill was conducted at our Amagasaki campus.

This year's evacuation drill began under the assumption that a fire had broken out due to an earthquake. Faculty and staff members, students, on-site security guards, and student volunteers with disaster prevention qualifications worked together to complete the entire process, including discovering the fire, checking the scene, conducting initial firefighting training, contacting the fire department, guiding people to the evacuation site, Shioe Ryokuyu Park, checking the evacuation status, and confirming completion.

In his comments after the drill, the president said, "Today is just a drill, so you are mentally prepared, but we don't know when a real disaster will occur. It takes time even to travel from campus to this evacuation site. I would like to ask all students to think about what they should anticipate when an earthquake or other disaster occurs. This may be the first time for international students to experience this, but it is important that you not only learn at your faculty, but also have the ability to manage your own safety and security, and the ability to look in all directions and make the decision to evacuate."

Our university will continue to strive to maintain a safe campus environment by raising disaster prevention awareness among students, faculty, and staff, and by focusing on training disaster prevention specialists.
