At our university,2026Years1Month24On Saturday, a student leadership training session was held at the Kobe Yamate Campus with the aim of establishing a system that would enable student organizations such as the Student Council and the University Festival Executive Committee to function autonomously and smoothly.
The theme of this training was "Strengthening organizational management and event planning skills as student leaders - Towards the success of the new student welcome party, university festival, and Sports Revolution." The training included leadership, team management, and event activation.3We held a group discussion on the challenges of working together as a campus.
During the discussion, each campus shared its challenges and actively exchanged ideas with students from other campuses on improvement plans.3This was an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between campuses and deepen information sharing and cooperation.
From the participating students
"I was able to interact with people from various grades and faculties, and was exposed to perspectives and personalities that were different from my own, which was very stimulating."
"By discussing the past year together, I was able to learn things I had forgotten and the strengths and areas for improvement at other campuses, which was very educational."
With comments such as these, the workshop provided a valuable learning opportunity for future student-led activities.
Towards the end of the training session, in order to deepen understanding of the local area, the participants visited Venus Bridge, a popular local spot for night views, and took a group photo.4The annual Kansai International University event, "Kobe Walker," will be held in February, and for the students who will be leading the event, this visit was a valuable opportunity to rediscover the charms of the region.
Kansai University of International Studies will continue to promote the creation of an environment where students can take the initiative and work to develop student leaders.
