The 67th installment of the Kobe Shimbun Miki edition's "Academic Exploration - Introductory Courses at Kansai International University" series is an article about "Islamic Finance" by Professor Chowdhury Mahbubul Arom of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business Administration.
In the article, Professor Chowdhury states, "Islamic finance has developed rapidly since the 1990s, based on unique principles such as the prohibition of interest and an emphasis on ethics. It is also becoming increasingly used in Japan's financial markets, which are becoming increasingly multicultural."
