The first event was the first job-hunting event, "Self-Expression Enhancement Guidance."
We welcomed Mr. Osaki from Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Career Partners Co., Ltd., who gave us a clear explanation, including hands-on activities, about the essential aspects of job hunting, such as how to prepare for resumes, application forms, essays, and interviews.
Students shared the following feedback, which helped them to write about themselves in their resumes and application forms:PRIt seemed to dispel any concerns about how to write.
- I was worried about how to write essays and application forms, but the detailed explanations using examples helped me to understand smoothly and visualize them. I would like to practice using the worksheets.
- I'm glad that I was able to take this self-expression guidance course and hear about the areas that I was worried about during my job hunt. I would like to use what I learned today to prepare for interviews and write my motivation statement.
- In order to appeal to others, I felt that I needed to write ethically and specifically, so I felt that I needed to know more about myself. I would like to use what I learned in this lecture to be able to write essays and application forms.
Second job hunting event
Kita-Harima General Medical Center Job Information Session held
The students, whose motivation was ignited at the first job hunting event, then went on to participate in the second job hunting event, a job information session held by the Kita-Harima General Medical Center, with which our university has established a collaborative relationship.
The event began with an opening address from Professor Yoshizawa, Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, followed by a valuable talk from Ms. Sekiguchi, Vice President and Director of Nursing at Kita-Harima General Medical Center, who shared important information about the hospital's mission statement, "Hospital Philosophy," and other important aspects of working at the hospital. This was followed by a discussion on the hospital's educational system, stories from first-year senior nurses, and an explanation of treatment and other matters.
During the question and answer session, the students asked the senior nurses questions about essays related to the content of the first lecture, as well as questions about life after joining the company, and the senior nurses gave thorough and accurate answers.
Many students commented that hearing about real hospitals had increased their motivation.
- It was great to hear from senior nurses, as it helped me to visualize not only my job search but also my vision for what life will be like after I get the job.
- It was a very good time as I was able to learn information that I would not have been able to learn through internship alone and also listen to the stories of my seniors.
- After hearing about the nursing philosophy of Kita-Harima General Medical Center and learning about its educational system, I became very interested in the career support and treatment it provides.
