An Invitation to a Gentle Montessori Education

For those who thought, "I'm interested in Montessori education, but I don't have the opportunity."
For those of you who thought, "I knew about it, but what kind of method is it really?"

Maria Montessori(1870-1952) developed the method with the aim of raising children, and how the teaching tools were devised to embody the method.Especially focusing on "sensory education", why don't you think about what Montessori aimed for while actually touching teaching materials instead of children?

According to Montessori, the subject of education is the child, and the teacher's role is to support the child's desire to grow. In order to support the children's desire for independence, I would like to take the time to pause and think about how teachers should interact with children.

What is Montessori Education?

Montessori educationwas devised by Maria Montessori, known for being the first Italian woman to receive a doctorate in medicine from the University of Rome.

Based on the premise that "the subject of education is the child", she uses an environment and teaching materials that maximize the child's ability to nurture themselves, "self-education ability", and is independent with the attitude of lifelong learning. I wanted an education that nurtures human beings.

Recently, shogi players Sota Fujii, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates are famous for having received Montessori education.
