Kansai University of International Studies High School-University Collaboration Project

We aim to send out into the world human beings who can independently and actively carve out their own lives while respecting others.
Specifically, based on Hamana Yamate Gakuin's educational mission of enabling students to practice the "three Cs": Communication (information gathering, dialogue, and dissemination), Consideration (deliberation, reflection, and compassion), and Commitment (participation and contribution), we will develop high school-university connection and collaboration projects that aim to help high school students grow into independent learners.

Message from the head of the high school-university collaboration office

High school students will experience university learning and become aware of what kind of world awaits them beyond their daily studies, and what kind of attitude they should have in approaching the studies in front of them. In addition, in this process, the faculty and staff of high schools and universities will connect and explore ways to better cooperate. I believe that these are the major goals and significance of high school-university cooperation.
This year marks the fifth year since the High School-University Collaboration Center (now the High School-University Collaboration Office), a department specializing in high school-university collaboration, was established at our university. To date, we have implemented various collaborations with many high schools. In 2024, we will have implemented over 100 high school-university collaboration projects, and the number of high schools with which we continue to collaborate is also increasing. In addition, as the chair of the High School-University Collaboration Committee of the Hyogo Kobe University Consortium, our university also plays a leading role in high school-university collaboration among universities in Hyogo Prefecture.
This "List of Knowledge" was created to help high school students better understand the educational content of Kansai University of International Studies and to utilize our knowledge in high school education. It embodies the passionate desire of our faculty and staff to be of some help to high schools. This year, we have updated the "List of Knowledge" to make it easier for high school students to use. In addition to lists by department, we have also categorized it into lists by SDG goals and skill classes, making it easier to find courses and support that meet your needs. We hope you will take a look and search for the content you would like your high school students to experience.
Due to the schedules of university faculty members' classes, research, and meetings, we may not be able to fully meet the requests of high schools, but we will coordinate collaboration in a form that meets as close as possible to your requests, considering not only face-to-face but also online collaboration styles. We hope to promote better high school-university collaboration with all high school students. Please make use of this service.
