Guidance of "special support education coordinator training course"
From April 2017, at the graduate school of our university, we have been certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, "Brush up Program for Professionals" (BP: Brush up Program for Professionals), which was established mainly to measure the skills necessary for the occupation of working adults. Establish a certification program.
In this course, nursery teachers, teachers, nurses, social workers, and other people involved in raising children will collaborate with local government officials, welfare facilities, health and medical institutions, parents, NPOs, and people in the community. The purpose is to develop human resources to coordinate and manage a wide range of special needs education.
What is the certification system?
Based on the provisions of Article 105 of the School Education Law and Article 164 of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the School Education Law, the certificate of course completion system is a systematic system mainly for working adults as a more active social contribution in addition to education and research. This is to establish a study program and issue a certificate of completion based on the law to those who have completed it.
What is a certification program?
This accreditation system aims to expand opportunities for working adults to improve their vocational skills through participation in programs at universities, graduate schools, junior colleges, and technical colleges. The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology certifies a practical and specialized program that meets the requirements as a "practical vocational skill development program" (BP).

We will issue a "Special Needs Education Coordinator Completion Certificate" (certificate of course completion) certified by Kansai International University Graduate School. In addition, those who have attended all sessions of ``Minna no Special Needs Education'' and ``Preschool Special Needs Education'' and have the ``Special Needs Educator (SENS)'' certification from the Special Needs Educator Certification Association, a general incorporated foundation. will award points for qualification renewal. - Graduate students currently enrolled in our graduate school are exempt from tuition fees.
- You cannot register for elective courses in the middle of the semester.
- In principle, the tuition fee once paid cannot be returned.

- If you complete this program and proceed to graduate school at our university, the credits you earn will be recognized as credits you acquired prior to enrollment.
- We do not issue "commuter certificates", "student discount certificates", "transcripts", etc. to students enrolled in the certification program.
V. Education and Training Benefit System
The Specialized Practical Education and Training Benefit is a system in which Hello Work will pay 50% of the education and training expenses paid by an individual for attending specialized practical education and training designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (up to an annual limit of 400,000 yen) to those who are currently insured under employment insurance and who have previously been insured under employment insurance and who meet certain conditions, while they are attending such training, or upon completion of such training. In addition, if an individual obtains qualifications within one year of completing the training and is employed as an insured person under employment insurance, 70% of the education and training expenses (the difference between the annual total amount of the 50% benefit already paid and the amount equivalent to 70% of the education and training expenses (up to an annual limit of 560,000 yen)) will be paid. For courses starting after October 2024, if the above requirements for additional payment are met and wages after completing the training increase by 5% or more compared to before the start of the course, 80% of the education and training expenses (the difference between the annual total of the 50% and 70% benefits already paid and the amount equivalent to 80% of the education and training expenses (annual maximum of 640,000 yen)) will be paid.
