Sociology deals with a variety of phenomena both in Japan and abroad, and because it is connected to various fields, it is a field of study in which you can make the most of your own interests.In my case, I was worried about the decline of the shopping street on the way to school.Therefore, with the theme of revitalizing "Shutter Street", not only one store but also closed stores are used at once to open a study space for students, a temporary nursery school for children, a cafe where mom friends gather, etc. I put together a plan to liven up the whole area, and when I applied for an off-campus contest, I received an award for excellence.In addition, I am participating in a student project based on a proposal from my seminar teacher, and I am producing a magazine with the aim of revitalizing the university and its surrounding areas.As I gained various experiences at this university, I realized that I like to come up with ideas and send out ideas.After graduation, I would like to find a job where I can make use of my ideas and contribute to society.

I chose this department because I can freely study the four specialized fields of "Sociology/Media," "Economics/Management," "Psychology," and "Architecture/Interior" according to my interests.Classes were held in small groups, and it was also attractive that the distance between teachers and students was close.I used to be shy when I was in a crowd, but in a small group it was easier for me to express my individuality, and before I knew it, I was able to assert myself in front of others.Currently, I am studying how to revitalize the local community in "Sociology and Media" while exploring the structure of society in "Economics and Management".I feel that I have broadened my horizons and way of thinking compared to when I was in high school, as I have become able to link multiple knowledge and education to see things from multiple perspectives.The fruits of my learning were manifested outside of school.I participated in a contest where I submitted my own ideas with the theme of improving an existing charity project. .Outside of classes, I am actively participating in student associations and volunteer staff, and I am enjoying a fulfilling university life by interacting with students from other departments.
