Report on the 3rd Regular Concert and Thank You (Director's Greetings)

2025/04/04

On March 7, 3, the Kansai International University Wind Orchestra successfully held its 23rd Regular Concert at Kobe Asahi Hall.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported and cooperated with us, and to everyone who continues to support us on a daily basis.

This was a special stage where all four years performed together for the first time, and it was a concert that really made us realize the club's growth. I joined the club as a second-year student and have been active since its inception, but it was not easy to build a club from scratch. We struggled with the gap between our ideals and reality, and sometimes our opinions differed, we did not get the results we wanted, and we felt that our efforts were not rewarded. However, looking back, I strongly feel that each of those struggles and conflicts is the foundation that supports us today.

The program for the day consisted of the first part being original pieces for the wind orchestra, and the second part being jazz-themed, with saxophonist Yusuke Maki as the soloist, who gave a wonderful performance, especially in the second part. As the performance progressed from the start of the concert, we were able to appreciate the depth of music, and once again feel the joy of our music reaching someone's heart.

Now that the concert has ended, we feel a sense of accomplishment and a strong sense that this is a new start. Our journey has only just begun.
We will continue to pursue "music that touches the heart" and strive for further growth.
We hope you will continue to support the Kansai International University Wind Orchestra as it undergoes a new structure starting in April.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support and encouragement.

Director Airi Hatsuda (3rd year, Department of Education and Welfare)
