Recently, I got this incredible opportunity to have been selected as one of the only four students from the University of Delhi, India for the 2 week venture 'Global Entrepreneurship Mindset Program' & "International Student Entrepreneur Conference" in Kobe, Japan hosted effortlessly by the Kansai University of International Studies (KUIS) in collaboration with Innovation Dojo Japan from 2nd July 2023 - 14th July 2023, which proved to be a remarkable and enriching experience for me.

The programme was a successful amalgamation of various insightful experiences, talk sessions, field visits and pitch building lectures which envisioned global expansion through entrepreneurial spirit. It aimed to foster entrepreneurial skills and mindset among participants, equipping us with the tools necessary to navigate the dynamic world of startups and business ventures. As a vision of the programme, I had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of entrepreneurship, gain invaluable knowledge, and connect with like-minded individuals from various esteemed institutions such as Keele University, England; Western Sydney University, Australia; Vancouver Island University, Canada, KUIS, Japan and University of Delhi, India, to devise advanced and innovative solutions addressing the market challenges within Japan. I also got this great opportunity of attending the workshops by the four leading companies: TOA Corporation, AstraZeneca, Anchor Kobe, MCC Food Products and one of the standout features of the program was the mentorship provided by successful entrepreneurs like Lars Larsson, Denise Zujur and Masumi Shinafuji. Their guidance and personal anecdotes offered valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship and leadership which we went onto implement. The program also facilitated numerous networking events, enabling us to establish connections with fellow participants and industry leaders. These connections have the potential to be long-lasting and beneficial for future collaborations.

I had a brilliant time working with some of the most amazing people in my team: Sarah Munday and My Le (Western Sydney University, Australia), Alexandra Traverner Garcia (Keele University, England) and Yuzono Hamanaka from Japan. We had the opportunity to pitch our newly formed start-up called "MediMove" to AstraZeneca's i2.jp alongside other CEOs and Government Officials and I am delighted that we pitched successfully in front of over 300 people who gave us all the appreciation and positive feedback. Here's a little description about our start-up pitch:

Being in Japan not only enriched our entrepreneurial knowledge but also provided a unique cultural experience. Exploring Japanese traditions, cuisine, and local attractions added an extra layer of enrichment to the program. It exceeded my expectations in every aspect, offering ample opportunities for learning and exploration. Overall, the experience completely reshaped me, enhancing my abilities, broadening my global perspective, and instilling a more genuine approach to life. The scholarship amount of 80,000 JPY provided financial support, covering living expenses which further supported and enhanced our experience in Japan.

This was truly a life-changing experience wherein I got to make many invaluable connections which could help me flourish in future. All the guidance, love and support that I received in Japan in the past 15 days will be truly cherished forever. This experience has provided me with a mesmerizing quest and exposure of advanced technologies, invaluable knowledge, cross-cultural interactions and life-changing moments. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to applying what I have learned to make a positive impact in the world of entrepreneurship. Japan will always hold a special place in my heart for the life-changing experience it provided.

"MediMove" - Born out of our personal experiences and realistic statistical analysis, MediMove is a platform that empowers travelers to find similar over the counter medications based on their active ingredients, overcoming language barriers and ensuring access to the right medication when it matters the most. My team worked around a patient centric approach which is also a point of vision for our target company - AstraZeneca. We, as a team, worked with all our potential analyzing the medical hurdles and providing a realistic solution through 'medical mobility'. As a part of customer experience, we offer a freemium model, where users can access the core features of the app for free. However, for advanced features users can opt for a premium subscription. The app can also be tailored to meet the needs of the user, potentially.
