Memories of Hawaii
英語コミュニケーション学科 3年
Participating in this program has been a wonderful and irreplaceable experience for me.
The photo on the top is from the final day of the Honolulu Festival. We learned the dance in a short time and performed the Saitama Ryujin in the parade with some nervousness. The high-fives with everyone after it was over were filled with a real sense of achievement and emotion. The Nagaoka Fireworks at the end of the festival echoed with the sound of fireworks, waves, and cheers. This moment was the best time of the festival, and I wouldn't change it for anything.
Through this program, I encountered a lot of kindness and inspiration. I said the word "Aloha" many times in the past 10 days. This word not only means greeting, but also gratitude, love, compassion, and many other meanings. The meaning behind this word is connected to the kindness and warmth of the people of Hawaii.
I had a wonderful time with people living in Hawaii or friends from other schools in Japan and many other people. All those times interacting with people remain in my memory. I would like to express my gratitude to all the people I have met in this program.
