VIU holds a significant number of events throughout the two semesters to boost up the spirit of university life around the area. The year-end event is the most outstanding with more than 200 free treat vouchers for the food trucks. Although it is small in scale, the event holding party keeps it more interesting with music and carnival games. I attended the event, and played some games, such as Rodeo and golf.

In the spirit of supporting students during exam season, it is a meaningful event to support the relationship between students and the community. Even under unfortunate weather circumstances, the support from the students is still significant. It is also the time of the Create Conference, which make it the most crowded time of the year around campus. Gathering with my friends around, they consider the event to be the most important time of each term. It is one of my favorite events, along with many others, such as the connecting flatmates event or culture couch and so forth.
