Improving English might be important for your personal and career growth, but it can be difficult to achieve when you do not live in an English-speaking environment. Learning a foreign language from just a textbook is useful to learn the basics, but it cannot replace constant practice in diverse, authentic situations!

The Department of English Communication recognizes how important it is to provide our students with constant opportunities to practice English. Everyday there is at least one English-fluent faculty member present to speak with students and help them with their English-language needs. Some English faculty also hold special activities such as TOEIC support, Current Events discussion and Study abroad advice.

Equally important, English Lounge is popular with students. Many students enjoy spending time there to play games, speak in English or do homework. They also encourage each other by writing messages and words of wisdom on the Room's "What's on Your Mind?" bulletin board. If you study here at KUINS, you are welcome to come visit us and practice your English.
