In an exciting cross-cultural exchange, five international students from [国際コミュニケーション学部] recently had the unique opportunity to participate in the first English Summer Camp hosted by our sister school, Kobe Yamate Girls' Junior and Senior High School. This enriching experience not only fostered friendships but also provided a deeper understanding of Japan and other countries' cultures, traditions, and histories.

The objective of the camp was to improve the four language skills of the high school students through research and prepare them to give a presentation on Japanese history, traditions, and culture. The international students' roles included assisting the students with their tasks, taking part in activities with each teacher per team, imparting useful information about their own countries and cultures, and engaging conversations with the students.

Overall, the camp was a huge success. This cross-cultural experience not only expanded their horizons but also reinforced the strong bonds between our sister institutions. Finally, they were able to receive a certificate of appreciation for their invaluable support and participation during the 3-day Global Quest Learning Camp held on the 29th to 31st of August 2023 at KUIS Miki Campus, signed by the school principal, Mr. Masaaki Hirai.
