GUGANISWARY KUNALAN, an exchange student from マレーシア・ウタラ大学, is joining the Department of Global Communications this autumn semester. She is currently a 3rd year student at the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

Her goal of studying at the Department of Global Communications is to learn Japanese language while immersing herself in Japanese culture and traditions. She believes that studying alongside students from diverse backgrounds (diverse countries) will provide her with a great opportunity to explore their respective cultures and may offer mutual support in navigating any challenges that may arise throughout the semester.

Her career goal is to secure a job within a multinational company, where she can leverage her diverse skill set, including effective communication, multilingual proficiency, digital marketing expertise and strong teamwork abilities.

Her decision to study in Japan was driven by her desire for personal growth and new experiences, even though her proficiency in Japanese is currently low. She wanted to challenge herself by living in a foreign country where she doesn't know anyone. Through her studies here, she aims to enhance her language skills, develop stronger social skills and gain a deeper understanding of Japan.
